Our mission at North Metro Church is being and making disciples. Our vision is to reach this community and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through community partnerships, church plants, and having our facility be a thriving community hub. On Friday, October 25, we had the privilege of partnering with Stellar Elementary for a Trunk or Treat and we were able to serve more than 3,000 people from our community on our campus. Not only that, but this Christmas season we are partnering with the City of Thornton at their WinterFest event where we will have the opportunity to interact with 30,000 people and invite them to come to our Christmas season events and services. We are not only excited about the future of what God has, but also excited for all that God is doing currently as we continue to use His resources for His glory.
As for the project, it has been a little slow over the past 6 weeks, but for good reason. Our architect and partner Dan Cook has been dealing with a serious personal family issue and things have had to slow down. I am reminded when things like this happen that we can trust in God’s timing and His sovereignty and not worry about His plans for us. Psalm 31:24 states: “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” Let us continue to be strong and take courage as we wait on God’s timing and please be praying for Dan Cook and his family. Although things have been a little slow, we have had some work done behind the scenes with our civil and ground engineering finished. We look to wrap up most of our engineering work here soon with a landscape architect.
On the financial side of the project, we are very grateful for all the financial gifts that have been given above and beyond the operating budget. Since we launched this campaign in June, we have received more than $150,000! Our goal by the end of May 2020 is $600,000. This will really help us begin to reach the financial need as we look to get a loan to begin construction and start Phase 1 with the early learning center where we will be able to reach kids and families with the gospel and begin financial sustainability.
Thank you all for your support in prayer, in serving, in impacting, and giving. To God be the glory!
